Ascent Orthopaedics is the clinical and surgical practice of Dr Daniel Mandziak and Dr Justin Webb. We specialise in expert care for a wide range of hip and knee conditions, including arthritis, degenerative and genetic disorders, sports injuries, trauma, and fractures.

    Dr Daniel Mandziak is an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in hip surgery. He is passionate about delivering the best possible outcomes for his patients, with a focus on personalised care and lasting satisfaction.

    Dr Mandziak is committed to staying at the forefront of his field, drawing on the latest techniques, equipment, and evidence-based practices to guide every treatment decision. He has a particular interest in harnessing technology to optimise patient outcomes, including robotic and computer-assisted surgery. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Mandziak regularly shares his expertise by teaching fellow orthopaedic specialists in robotic-assisted joint replacement and anterior approach hip replacement.

    Dr Mandziak is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) and has completed a Fellowship in Arthroplasty and Revision Arthroplasty, Complex Hip and Knee Replacement. Having graduated from The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, he helps teach orthopaedic registrars.

    Dr Justin Webb is a specialist orthopaedic knee surgeon with a particular interest in knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, and robotic-assisted knee replacement. He is committed to staying at the forefront of his field, using the latest techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for every patient.

    Since qualifying as a specialist orthopaedic knee surgeon in 2012, Dr Webb has pursued training both locally and internationally in sports knee injuries and knee replacement. He brings a wealth of experience to every consultation and was among the first surgeons in Adelaide to perform robotic-assisted knee surgery.

    Highly regarded by his peers, Dr Webb treats a wide range of patients — from professional and recreational athletes to those living with a sore, injured, or worn knee. He manages the full spectrum of knee conditions, providing expert care from the young, active patient through to those dealing with advanced arthritis.
